About Lindsey Buckingham
Lindsey Buckingham is a guitarist, songwriter and singer who gained international stardom as the lead guitarist of the iconic rock band Fleetwood Mac. He released his debut solo album titled Law and Order in 1981.
Family Life
He is the son of Rutheda and Morris Buckingham. He grew up with two older brothers, including renowned competitive swimmer Greg Buckingham, who won a silver medal at the 1968 Summer Olympics. In 2000, he got married to Kristen Messner. He and Kristen have three children together.
Achievements
In 1998, he and the other members of Fleetwood Mac were honored with an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
In 2011, the Rolling Stone Magazine included him in their list of “The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time”.
Trivia
He initially began as a competitive swimmer but gave that up for a career as a musician.
