Early Years
Before enrolling at New York’s Juilliard School in 1991, she studied at the University of Connecticut. A performance in a 1995 off-broadway production of “Macbeth” marked the beginning of her acting career.
Selected Works
From 1996 to 1998, she played minor roles in such TV series as “New York Undercover,” “The Cosby Show” and “Homicide: Life on the Street.” Silva landed the recurring TV role of Dr. Helen Reynolds on the hit NBC series "Providence.”
Other notable TV credits are “Blacklist,” “In the dark” and ABC's “Women of the Movement”. The latter starred Adrienne Warren and Tonya Pinkins. The actress has also worked on theater productions with Wallace Shawn and Andre Gregory.
