About Leonardo Sandri
Leonardo Sandri became a priest of the Roman Catholic Church in 1967. His service in the Holy See began in 1974 after he was assigned to the Apostolic Nunciature. As an official, he served in countries like The Comoros, Mauritius, and Madagascar.
In 2020, he started working with the College of Cardinals as the institution’s Vice Dean after his nomination was approved by Pope Francis.

He attended the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina where he obtained his Licentiate in Theology certificate. He later studied at the Pontifical Gregorian University, and the Pontifical Latin American College. He was also a student of Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy.
