Lalaine is a Filipino-American actress known for starring on Disney's teen sitcom Lizzie McGuire, in which she portrayed the character Miranda Sanchez. Her acting career has seen her feature in several films such as 1999's Annie, 2003'sYou Wish! and 2004's Promised Land. Outside of acting, she is an accomplished musician whose independent albumInside Story was released in 2003. She was also a member of the all-girl indie rock group Vanity Theft. She was the group's bassist.

She was one of the four children of her Filipino parents.
Trivia
She was fired from Vanity Theft in 2011, barely a year after joining the band.
In 2007, she pled guilty to charges of possession of crystal meth. The criminal record was later expunged after she took part in a drug treatment program and successfully completed it.
