Personal Life
At birth, the name chosen for him was Koenraad Desiré Arthur Crucke and he was talented in different fields growing up. As he grew up, it became obvious that he was not into ladies and was gay so not long after Belgium passed a law to allow people of the same sex to be together and get married, he married the partner he had been with for so many years.
Career
Koen Crucke was interested in a few different things growing up. He had a great tenor voice and exhibited his talent singing at the Vlaamse Opera and played different roles there. Around the same time, he made appearances in musical theatres and was very impressive at it.
Crucke started appearing on television in 1977 when he was cast as Derde Herder in “De eerste nowel”. The following year, he got a role in “The van Paemel Family” then in 1984, he was cast as Gevangene Caruso in “Zware jongens” before playing the role of Orkestleider in “De Paniekzaaiers”. Other shows he has been in include “Robin Hood: The Musical”, “Alice in Wonderland, de musical”, and “Brussel Nieuwsstraat” also known as “Brussels New Street”.
