About Kimmie Meissner
Kimmie Meissner is the first female American skater to continuously win the World Four Continents and the national titles. She also became the youngest skater to participate in the 2006 Olympics Games.
Personal life
She is the daughter of Paul Meissner and Judy Roth. She attended Fallston High School and Towson University. She exchanged wedding vows with Josh Heyne in 2019.
Skating Career
Beginning her career in 1996, the first competition she competed in was the 2000 South Atlantic Regionals which led to her qualification to the U.S. Junior Championship held in 2000. Other competitions she participated in are the world championships, Four Continents Championships and the World Junior Championships.
Her personal best scores include 189.97, 64.67 and 129.70 which she achieved during the 2006 World Figure Skating Championships. She received training from Pam Gregory, Todd Eldredge and Richard Callaghan.
Achievements
She was inducted into the U.S Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2020. In 2006, she was awarded the Michelle Kwan Trophy as the Favorite Skater of the Year.
Trivia
She became the second American female to compete in a triple Axel during the 2005 U.S. Championships.
