Early Life
Schmidt lived most of his life in the neighborhoods of Kansas with his brother, Kenneth, and Kendall Schmidt, who was also an actor and musician. Schmidt didn't have any interest in acting at an early age rather, he enjoyed football. However, after immense pressure from his brothers, Schmidt agreed to try out auditions.
Career
The actor enjoyed auditions and realized he had a fair for performing Arts. He landed roles in a number of movies including, "Bones" and "Without a trace" in his early ages. He later got huge roles in productions like "The Butterfly Effect" and " Cheaper by the Dozen" 1 and 2 in 2003 and 2005.
Current works
Schmidt is currently an advocate for sustainable farming and urges the use of aquaponics in agriculture with hopes of ending world hunger and malnutrition.
