He is well known as a regular contributor on the WNYU-FM’s sports talk show “The Cheap Seats”. He has also appeared on the famous New York sports internet radio show “Sports Heaven with Mark and Evan”.
Family
He is the son of renowned sportscaster Marv Albert and Benita Oberlander. He and Barbara Wolf got married in 1996 and they have two children Sydney Albert and Amanda Albert.
Education
He studied broadcasting and journalism at New York University and graduated in 1990.
Career
During his early career, he worked in the sports division at New York college radio, WNYU radio. He has provided radio voice for the New York Rangers. In the 1990s, he called the play-by-play of the Washington Capitals, the Baltimore Skipjacks and the New York Rangers. The former was on NBC Sports Washington.
Albert also hosted “NTRA” on Fox between 1999 and 2000 and also called the 2002 and 2006 Winter Olympics hockey play-by-play. Between 2007 and 2009, the sportscaster called the Sugar Bowl play-by-by in Louisiana.
