Following an impressive career at the amateur level, Kell Brook turned professional in 2004. The British boxer ended the year with five straight wins, making him one of the country’s most promising athletes. Fighting in the welterweight division, Brook won many national honors before defeating Shawn Porter to clinch the IBF title in 2014.
He defended the title for three years before surrounding it to America’s Errol Spence Jr. in 2017. The Sheffield-born boxer also competed in the light-middleweight and middleweight divisions. He announced his retirement from the sport in 2022.
