About Karamo Brown
Karamo Brown is a famous American author, activist, and TV personality. He’s starred in shows such as “Are You The One: Second Chances”, “The Real World: Philadelphia”, and “Where Are The Bears”. In 2018, he was given a pivotal role in Netflix’s “Queer Eye”.
His rise to stardom started in 2004 when he appeared on MTV’s “The Real World: Philadelphia”. After his disappointment in the Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Inferno II reality show, Kamano bounced back to reality TV when he appeared on TV One’s “The Next 15”.
Between 2014 and 2016, Karamano featured in 54 episodes of “Dr Drew On Call” on HLN. He was also a producer and host at Huffington Post’s online video streaming network, HuffPost Live.
He has written lots of books over the years with the popular one being “Karamo: My Story of Embracing Purpose, Healing, and Hope”, a memoir he published in 2019.
Achievements
He won the Human Rights Campaign Visibility Awards in 2018, for his role in the fight for the rights of LGBTQs.
Family Life
In 2018, Karamo got engaged to his partner, Ian Jordan. He reunited with his son, Jason, in 2007, after he was given the hint that the then 10-year old boy was his. Three years later, he adopted Jason’s step-brother, Chris. He has three other siblings.
