Julie London was an American singer and actress remembered for her massively successful 1955 single Cry Me a River. As an actress, she is remembered for portraying characters such as Helen Colton from the 1959 Western film The Wonderful Country and Dixie McCall from the medical drama television series Emergency!
Personal Life
She was married twice. Her first marriage was to actor Jack Webb, with whom she mothered two children. Her second marriage was to renowned musician Bobby Troup in 1959. She and Bobby had a daughter together and remained married until Bobby's death in 1999.
Trivia
She was a lifelong chain smoker. She began smoking when she was just 16 years old.
She was an extremely private and shy person.
