Jovan Belcher featured as a linebacker in the NFL for the Kansas City Chiefs. The rising American football player, whose career was cut short due to death, joined the Chiefs in 2009 as a free agent and went on to become a prominent and regular player of the team.

Murder and Death
Belcher was on a journey to having one of the greatest football careers. However, in December 2012, his career and life came to an end after he murdered his girlfriend and mother of his daughter Perkins. Moments after killing his girlfriend, Belcher took his own life by shooting himself in the head.
According to reports, he and Perkins had a heated argument, which resulted in him shooting her several times.
After his death, medical reports indicated that Belcher struggled with chronic traumatic encephalopathy.
