About Joseph Stalin
Joseph Stalin was the supreme ruler of the Soviet Union. He became leader after the demise of the founder of the Soviet Union Vladimir Lenin in 1924. He ruled the Soviet Union from the mid-1920s up until his death in 1953, during which he caused the deaths of millions of people. He is widely regarded as one of the most powerful and brutal dictators in world history.
Family Life
In 1906, he married his first wife Ekaterina Svanidze, with whom he had a son named Yakov. His second marriage was to Nadezhda Svanidze from 1919 until her death in 1932. The marriage produced a son, Vasiliy and a daughter named Svetlana.
Trivia
He transformed the USSR into an industrial power and helped defeat Nazi Germany during World War II.
