About Jordan Belfort
Belfort is a well-known American writer, ex-convict and investor. He gained notoriety after he was convicted for his involvement in a gigantic stock-market scam which left thousands of investors cashless. After he was found guilty by court, he was handed a 22-month sentence and ordered to pay $110 million in restitution.
After serving his jail term in 2007, he published an autobiography titled "The Wolf of Wall Street". The work has further been released in at least 40 countries and in over 15 languages. Following the success of the aforementioned book, he released a continuation titled "Catching the Wolf of Wall Street" in 2009. He was portrayed by Golden Globe winner, Leonardo DiCaprio in 2013’s film dubbed "The Wolf of Wall Street".
Family Life
His parents Max and Leah were both accountants. He has a brother named Robert Belfort. He was married to Denise Lombardo from 1985 till 1991. He later married British model, Nadine Caridi in 1991, but parted ways in 2005. He wedded Anne Belfort in 2008, but later separated. He became romantically involved with model, Cristina Invernizzi. His children are Carter and Chandler Belfort.
