About Jonathan Ive
Sir Jonathan Paul "Jony" Ive is an English architectural and product designer. He was the Chief Design Officer (CDO) of the multi-national technology company Apple Inc. He joined Apple in 1992 where he worked till his departure in 2019.
In 2015, he was promoted to CDO for Apple Inc after his appointment as the Senior Vice President of Industrial Design in the 1990s.
He designed the iMac, iPhone, Power Mac G4 Cube, iPad, MacBook, iPod and also parts of the user interface of iOS while working closely with Steve Jobs.
Family
He got married to Heather Pegg in 1987 and they have two sons together. His father is identified as Michael Ive.
Achievements
In 2006, he was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE), and in 2012, he was appointed Knight Commander of the British Empire (KBE).
He also received the RSA Benjamin Franklin Medal in 2004.
