About Johnny Knox
Johnny Knox is a renowned American retired football player whose promising career was curtailed by a serious spinal injury. Mostly used as a wide receiver, Knox joined the National Football league in 2009 as a signee of the Chicago Bears. At the end of his first season, he was selected into the Pro Bowl game.
Injuries
In 2009, he suffered an ankle injury which ended his season prematurely. Two years later, in a game versus the Seattle Seahawks, he collided with Anthony Hargrove which required an immediate surgery. His team placed him on their injured reserve list after it was disclosed that the clash had affected his spinal cord.
He was released by the Bears in 2013 and later that year Knox announced his intentions to retire from the sport.
Family
He has been married to a lady called SanDerriqua with whom he has children.
Education
His performance at Tyler Junior College earned him a place at Abilene Christian University.
Trivia
In 2015, he joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a coach intern.
