Johnny Ernest Crawford rose to fame in the early years of his career as an actor. Crawford, who began his on-screen career in 1955 as a cast member of “The Mickey Mouse Club”, was only 12 years old when he gained national fame for his portrayal of Mark McCain in the television series “The Rifleman”. He also pursued a music career in the 1950s and 1960s. He served as the leader of the Johnny Crawford Orchestra.

He was born to Robert Lawrence Crawford Sr and Betty Megerlin. He was the younger brother of actor Robert Lawrence Crawford Jr. He married Charlotte Samco, in 1995.
Achievements
He received an Emmy Award nomination for “Best Supporting Actor” at just 13 years old for his appearances in “The Rifleman”.
