About John W. Henry
John W. Henry is a prominent businessman who founded the investment management organization known as John W. Henry & Company in the 1980s. Following his success after establishing the firm he went on to build a sports empire and formed the sports company Fenway Sports Group together with his business partner Tom Werner. The group has acquired many businesses including the American professional baseball team Boston Red Sox, which they acquired for $380million in 2002. The New England Sports Network is also owned by the company.
He is also a shareholder of Liverpool, a Premier League soccer team that won the Champions League in June 2019 as well as the daily newspaper Boston Globe which he purchased in 2013.
Family
He was married to Peggy Sue Henry between 1998 and 2008. In 2009 he married his second wife Linda Pizzuti Henry.
He has two children called Sienna Henry, and Sara Henry.
