About John Hillerman
After performing in a number of stage plays, John Hillerman earned his first movie role in 1970 when he appeared in “They Call Me Mister Tibbs!”. Many film enthusiasts would remember him for his Jonathan Quayle Higgins III role in the television series entitled “Magnum, P.I”.
His Lloyd Hogan character in the sitcom “The Hogan Family” also won him lots of admirers.

He was born to Lenora Joan Medlinger and Christopher Benedict Hillerman and had two sisters.

He read journalism at the University of Texas at Austin after graduating from St. Xavier's Academy.
Decorations
In 1982, he was named the “Best Supporting Actor – Series, Miniseries or Television Film” at the Golden Globe Awards. Five years later, he won a Primetime Emmy Award for his role in “Magnum, P.I”.
