About John Gotti
John Gotti was an American mobster. He was the boss of the Gambino crime family in New York City and a protégé of the family's underboss, Aniello Dellacroce. His nickname was "The Dapper Don" because of his expensive clothes and public image.
In 1992, he was convicted of 5 murders, conspiracy to commit murder, obstruction of justice, illegal gambling and tax evasion, among others. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
His Personal Life
He was married and he had 5 children. He died of throat cancer at the age of 61.
