About John Edward
Prior to becoming an internationally-recognized television personality and author, John Edward had pursued careers in phlebotomy and ballroom dancing. He began to garner media attention as a psychic medium following the promotion of his first book, “One Last Time: A Psychic Medium Speaks to Those Who Have Loved and Lost” on “Larry King Live” in 1998. In 2000, he made his debut as a television personality with his own show, “Crossing Over with John Edward” on the Sci-Fi Channel. He also hosted another show, “John Edward Cross Country” from 2006 to 2008 on We TV.
Family Life
He was brought up by his Italian-American mother and Irish-American father, who were Catholics. He has been married to Sandra McGee, the mother of his two children. His daughter, Olivia is an actress.

He has been criticized harshly for his psychic readings which critics have described as fraudulent and taking advantage of the bereaved families.
