About John Carew
John Carew is a former Norwegian footballer known for his glittering career with such clubs as A.S. Roma, Valencia and West Ham United. He joined the Norway national football team in 1998 and represented the nation at the Euro 2000 tournament. He announced his retirement from professional football in 2013.
Personal Life
He is the older brother of Norwegian singer-songwriter Elisabeth Carew.
Trivia
On 18 November 1998, he made history by becoming the first black football player to represent the Norway national football team.
In 2010, he was conned out of £100,000 by a car dealer who promised to supply him with a Porsche Cayenne Gemballa. Unfortunately for him, he never received the vehicle.
He is also an accomplished actor, who made his film debut in the Canadian horror film Dead of Winter in 2014.
