About Johannes Gutenberg
Johannes Gutenberg was a German blacksmith, printer and publisher best remembered for inventing the first mechanical metal movable-type printing press. The most notable book he published was the Gutenberg Bible, which is also called the 42-line Bible. He is regarded as one of the most important inventors of all time.

Trivia
Little is known about his personal life. Historians do not know whether he ever got married or fathered any children.
The asteroid 777 Gutemberga was named after him.
His grave got lost after the cemetery at the Franciscan church in Mainz, where he was buried, got destroyed.
In 2009, it was revealed that only 49 original copies of the Gutenberg Bibles existed. These surviving copies are among the most precious books in the world.
