Joel Edgerton is an Australian star who may be best known to the general mass for his portrayal of the young Owen Lars (Anakin Skywalker’s half-brother) in two films in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Aside from his rather minor role in the galaxy far away, he is also known for his roles in the sports drama Warrior (2011), sci-fi horror The Thing (2011), action thriller Zero Dark Thirty (2012), and epic drama film The Great Gatsby (2013). Edgerton also played as the main antagonist Ramesses II to Christian Bale’s Moses in 2014’s Exodus: Gods and Kings, as well as writing, producing, directing, and starring in the critically-acclaimed psychological thriller The Gift (2015).
