About Jimbo Fisher
John James Fisher Jr., popularly known as Jimbo Fisher, is a professional American football coach and a retired football player as well. He became the head coach for Texas A&M University in 2018.
Prior to joining Texas A&M, he coached several college football teams such as the Florida State Seminoles at the Florida State University, Cincinnati Bearcats at the University of Cincinnati and the Louisiana State University football team.
Family
He got married to Candi Fisher; they became parents to Ethan and Trey. He has a brother named Bryan who worked at the Fairmont State University as an offensive coordinator.
Achievements
He won the award for Division III National Player of the Year in 1987. In 2013 he was recognized as the AFCA Regional Coach of the Year and the Rawlings Football College Coach of the Year.
Fisher also won the ‘Atlantic Coast Conference’ championship with Florida State University in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
