About Jim Furyk
James Michael Furyk, better known as Jim Furyk has garnered recognition as a professional golfer in the PGA Tour. He made his professional debut in 1992 following his college career with the Arizona Wildcats golf team of the University of Arizona, Tucson which he helped win their first NCAA title. He has also played in the PGA Tour Champions. From 1999, he made appearances in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Rankings for more than 440 weeks, achieving a career-high position of second in September 2006.
Family Life
He learnt how to play golf from his father, Mike Furyk who served as a pro at several golf country clubs. He has maternal Polish and Czech ancestry. And he also has Hungarian and Ukrainian ancestry from his father. He has two children with Tabitha, his wife.
Achievements
He was the winner of the 2003 U.S. Open and the 2010 FedEx Cup. He was named as the PGA Tour Player of the Year.
