About Jim Brown
James Nathaniel Brown, better known as Jim Brown was an American former professional footballer, actor and sports analyst. He played the fullback position for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League, between 1957 and 1965, and was regarded as one of the greatest players of all time.
Family Life
His parents were Swinton Brown, a professional boxer and Theresa Brown, a homemaker.
He married Sue Jones in 1959, and had three children with her, namely James Jr. and twins, Kim and Kevin. They, however, divorced in 1972. He married Monique Brown in 1997 and had two more children with her.
Achievements
He was crowned the AP NFL Most Valuable Player thrice, and was invited as a Pro Bowl in each season.
In 1964, he led the Cleveland Browns to win the NFL Championship.
The Sporting News named him as the greatest football player ever in 2002.
He was honored as the greatest college football player of all time at the CFP championship game in 2020.
Trivia
Brown starred in several big screen films such as The Running Man (1987), Mars Attacks (1996), Any Given Sunday (1999) and Original Gangstas (1996).
Between 1993 and 1996, he served as the ringside commentator for the first six events of the Ultimate Fighting Championships.
He was charged with several cases of assault and battery on some of the women he dated, and once served a 3-month jail sentence.
