About Jerry Yan
Prior to the debut of his acting career in 2000, Jerry Yan worked as a model, appearing in television commercials and music videos in the late 1990s. His first acting role was in the Taiwanese drama series, “Spicy Teacher” as a character named Hong Minglong. He gained national and international recognition through his portrayal of Dao Ming Si in the drama series, “Meteor Garden” and its sequel “Meteor Garden II”. He also performed in F4, a quartet boy band which was birthed through Meteor Garden.
Personal Life
He has Hakka and Atayal ancestry. He dated Lin Chi-ling, a famous Taiwanese model and actress for several years.
Achievements
Awards he has earned in his career include Mnet Asian Music Awards, Philippine’s Asian Drama Awards, Asia Model Festival Awards and Best Jeanist Awards.
Trivia
As a former member of the F4 band, he has three albums to his credit: “Meteor Rain”, “Fantasy 4ever” and “Waiting for You”.
