Jerry Orbach was an American actor remembered for his portrayal of Detective Lennie Briscoe from the NBC's long-running police procedural TV series Law & Order and Harry McGraw from CBS' crime drama TV series Murder, She Wrote. His notable film works include 1981's Prince of the City, 1987'sDirty Dancing and 1991's Beauty and the Beast.
Family Life
He was the only child born to Emily and Leon Orbach. From 1958 to 1975, he was married to his first wife Marta Curro, with whom he fathered two children, including actor Chris Orbach. His second marriage was to dancer Elaine Cancilla in 1979. He and Elaine stayed married until his death in 2004.
Trivia
He once worked as a chauffeur for the iconic American actress and sex symbol Mae West.
He donated his eyes after his death, thereby giving the priceless gift of sight.
