Jerry Buss was an American businessman who was known for being the owner of several sports teams in the United States. He was the majority owner of the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also owned the Los Angeles Strings and the Los Angeles Kings hockey team.
Personal Life
His marriage to JoAnn Mueller produced four children and ended in divorce in 1972. His girlfriend Karen Demel bore him two more children in the 1980s.
Achievements
He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010 for his contributions to basketball.
Trivia
He was a competitive poker player and often took part in poker tournament games. He came second in the 2003 World Poker Tour Freeroll Invitational.
