Jerrold “Jerry” Nadler is an American politician, hailing from New York, who has been a long servant the U.S. House of Representative since 1992. And his long standing in Congress and in politics in general has made him one of the more-powerful political figures in America.

He married his wife, Josephine Miller, in 1976.
Achievements
He holds a B.A. from Columbia University and a J.D. from Fordham University.
Prior to serving in the House of Representatives Nadler belonged to the New York State Assembly for 15 years.
He is a Democrat who supported the election of President Barack Obama as well as worked on impeaching President George W. Bush. He was also instrumental in the successful impeachment of Donald Trump in 2019.
He began representing New York’s 10th congressional district, which comprises many of the State’s greatest landmarks, in 2013.
In 2019 he became the House Judiciary Committee’s Chairman.
Trivia
As of 2020, he holds the distinction of being the sole member of Congress who was educated in a yeshiva.
Nadler is known to be anti-surveillance, pro-abortion, pro-LGBT and pro-cannabis.
Interesting to note is that despite being Jewish, he did not approve of President Trump formally recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital in 2017.
