About Jermaine Dupri
Jermaine Dupri released his first studio album in 1998 which was under the title “Life in 1472”. He’s, however, known for his numerous hit singles such as "We Belong Together" and "I Think They Like Me".
Though he introduced himself to the world as a rapper, the American is widely recognized for his off-screen activities where he works as a songwriter, as well as, record executive and producer. This has enabled him to work with lots of internationally recognized artistes such as Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, and Mariah Carey.
Family
His full name is Jermaine Dupri Mauldin. His dad, Michael Mauldin, is the founder of the Mauldin Brand AC/VC. He was privileged to spend some of his childhood moments with his mum called Tina Mauldin. He was said to be in a relationship with singer, Janet Jackson, between 2002 and 2009. Nonetheless, he and Pam Sweat have a child called Shaniah Mauldin.
Achievements
He won the “Best R&B Song” at the 2006 Grammy Awards.
