About Jermaine Beckford
Jermaine Beckford is a well-known retired professional soccer striker. Athletically gifted during his early years, he began his career as a trainee with the Chelsea junior squad. Turned down by Chelsea's senior team in 2003, he was recruited by Wealdstone marking the beginning of his professional life. Thanks to his very outstanding goal-scoring history for Wealdstone, he drew a lot of interest from many top sides.
This prodigious striker went on to play for a variety of high-profile and successful clubs, including Leeds United, Everton, Bolton Wanderers, Leicester City, Preston North End, and many others. Owing to his Jamaican ancestry, he represented Jamaica in international tournaments such as the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
