Early Life & Education
His father bought him a collection of Marvel Comic books when he was 12. He studied film at the Columbia University in New York City.
Career Highlights
An experienced screenwriter by 1985, he wrote the script for “Teen Wolf", which starred Michael J. Fox. The film’s success got him a deal to write a comic book based on DC Comics’ character Flash.
Later, he ventured into writing and producing series. He wrote season 2 of the ABC TV series “Lost” and helped to executive produce the superhero drama series “Heroes.” In 2022, he worked as the scriptwriter of the “Red" episode of “Smallville”. This set him on a path of writing many more episodes.
Recognition
His work on the series “Heroes” helped win a nomination at the 2007 Emmy Awards for “Outstanding Drama Series.”
Trivia
He has often worked with award-winning comics artist Tim Sale on a number of projects, including “Spiderman” and “Yellow.”
