About Jens Pulver
Jens Pulver developed a love for combat sports at an early age which led him to go into wrestling at grade six. He turned his attention to mixed martial arts during his time at college and participated in a number of unsanctioned bouts.
His professional career started in 1999 when he made his UFC debut. The renowned American MMA fighter gained international recognition two years later when he defeated Caol Uno to win the UFC Lightweight Championship. He defended his title twice before leaving it the following year.
Aside from the UFC, he also worked under some renowned promotions such as the Pride Fighting Championships, and World Extreme Cagefighting. Before retiring in 2014, Pulver participated in other popular combat sports including boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Family
His parents were simply known as Abel and Dustin. He has a sister named Jamaica. In 2009, he tied the knot with Kannika Pulver. Their children are Madeline and Karson Jens Pulver.
Education
He wrestled for Tahoma Senior High School before joining Highline Community College. Pulver later joined Boise State University.
Trivia
His performance earned him the alias ‘Lil' Evil’.
In 2003, he published his autobiography titled “Little Evil, One Ultimate Fighter's Rise to the Top”.
