He was born Jefferson Agustin Farfán Guadalupe and has Peruvian origins. He played professional soccer for the Peru National team. Due to the nature of his work, he stayed in Germany for years and began speaking the language. He is a really skillful player whose ability and speed on the field made him popular. In 2004, he was chosen as the best Peruvian player of the year.
Career highlights
He started playing professional soccer as a part of Alianza Lima. His presence in the team was instrumental as he got better as time went by. In 2003, he helped the team to claim the 2003 Peru championship. PSV Eindhoven, a Dutch football club got him for about two million Euros. With his participation, the team won the cup tournament and the league.
In 2008, he moved to Schalke 04. He was with the team for about eight years before moving to FC Lokomotiv Moscow. There, he had a knee injury which prevented him from playing actively. He later went back to Alianza Lima.
