About Jazz Jennings
Jazz Jennings is a transgender individual who gained international acclaim for her advocacy for the rights of the LGBT community. She gained the public’s attention after an interview she had with broadcast journalist, Barbara Jill Walters, was televised.
In 2013 she established a company named Purple Rainbow Tails to raise funds for transgender kids. She also became known as a star of the reality series entitled “I Am Jazz”. She launched a self-titled YouTube channel to share her video blogs.

She was born to Jeanette Jennings and Greg Jennings. She has siblings named Ari Jennings, Griffen Jennings and Sander Jennings.
Achievements
Time Magazine ranked her amongst "The 25 Most Influential Teens of 2014". Advocate Magazine included her in their 2014 list of "40 Under 40". Also in 2014, she received a “Youth Trailblazer Award” from LogoTV.
Trivia
She completed Broward Virtual School. She along with Jessica Herthel co-authored the book titled “I Am Jazz”.
She has spoken about her life as a transgender on a number of television shows including “The Rosie Show” and “20/20”.
