Jayalalithaa is an Indian politician and former Tamil actress known for serving multiple times as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. As an actress, she starred in over a hundred films such asAayirathil Oruvan, Vairam, Chinnada Gombe, and Nanna Kartavya.
Family Life
She is the daughter of actress Jayaram (Sandhya) and Vedavalli. She had an elder brother named Jayakumar who died in the early 90s. Her father died when she was only two years old. She never had any children of her own or got married.
Trivia
During her acting career, she became Indian's highest paid actress from 1965 -1980.
In 1972, the Government of Tamil Nadu honored her with the Kalaimamani.
