About Jay B (Lim Jae-beom)
Jay B is the professional pseudonym of Lim Jae-beom, a South Korean singer, songwriter and actor. A breakdancer from middle school, he was spotted by scouts from JYP Entertainment at a breakdancing competition in 2009. He subsequently auditioned for the company, passed and signed a contract. He however made his debut as an actor through a role in the television drama, “Dream High 2” before making his singing debut as half of the duo, JJ Project along with Jin-young. He became known best as the leader of the K-pop band Got7.
Personal Life
He was raised in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. His parents divorced when he was very young. He studied Film at Konkuk University.
Achievements
In 2020, he won an APAN Music Award for “Best All Rounder”.
