About Jason Roy
One of England's top batters, Jason Jonathan Roy, a South Africa-born cricketer, moved to England when he was 10 years old. There he played for teams like Surrey to prepare him to be the amazing batsman he has proven to be.
Early LifeHe attended The Hawthorns School and Whitgift School upon his family's relocation to England. During the 2007 Surrey Under-19 trip to South Africa, he participated.
Career
In 2010, he played against Leicestershire in his first-class debut for Surrey. He scored 677 runs at an incredible average of 48.35 in the Natwest T20 Blast 2014, which earned him his T20I debut against India in a one-off game in 2014. In May 2015, he played his first One Day International (ODI) against Ireland.
He signed with the Sydney Sixers for the 2016–17 season after a brief BBL stint with the Sydney Thunder in 2015. He played for the Sylhet Sixers in the 2018–19 Bangladesh Premier League. In April 2022, he was purchased by the Oval Invincibles for The Hundred's 2022 season.

He is renowned for having the highest single ODI innings by an England batsman.
