Career
Jason made his theatrical debut in the film “Clerks”. The film was a tremendous success and he went on to have regular work portraying the same type of character he played in “Clerks”.
Personal
Jason had serious alcohol and substance abuse problems. Jason’s friend, Kevin Smith, never gave up on him and pushed him into rehab clinics and when he kept relapsing, Kevin came up with the idea to have a weekly podcast show called “Jay and Silent Bob Get Old” which allows Jason to talk through his problems. Since the podcast started in 2010, Jay has been clean and sober. Jay is married with one daughter.
