About Jason Bonham
As the son of a prominent drummer, Jason Bonham was about 5 years old when he mastered the art of playing the drums. The English drummer, singer and songwriter started performing in a band called Airrace at the age of 15.
From 1985 to 1988, he performed, recorded two albums, and toured the US as a member of the British rock band, Virginia Wolf.
His own band, Bonham was formed in 1989. He has found success as a session musician and has accompanied a variety of acts on tour including Jimmy Page, Deborah Bonham and Paul Rodgers.
Family Life
His father was John Bonham, the drummer for the British rock band, Led Zeppelin. He has a sister called Zoe. He has two children with Jan Charteris, whom he married in April 1990.
Trivia
He performed in his father’s stead at the 2007 Led Zeppelin Reunion Concert held at the O2 Arena in London.
