Controversies
Ian has publicly criticized the RIAA as being against the music industry and its consumers. As a result, she has released many of her songs online for free download and has argued that free downloads increase the sale of hard copies, in opposition to RIAA’s claims.
In 1993, she released the song “Breaking Silence,” which declared her sexuality as a lesbian. There have been many rumors about her ex-husband Tino Sargo abusing her physically, and is the main cause of their divorce.
