About Jane Seymour
Jane Seymour is best known for being King Henry VIII's third wife as well as the Queen of England. She reigned as Queen from 1536 until her death in 1537. She died barely two weeks after childbirth.
Family Life
She was born to Margery Wentworth and Sir John Seymour. She got married to Henry VIII in 1536. In 1537, she gave birth to her only child Edward (King Edward VI).
Trivia
Though she was never officially crowned Queen, she was the only wife of King Henry VIII to be honored with a queen's funeral.
Upon his request, King Henry III was buried next to her, making her his only wife to share the same tomb with him.
