About James Toseland
A lead vocalist in his own rock band Toseland, James Toseland is a popular English-born former motorcycle speed racer who as of 2020, manages the Wepol Racing with riders Supersport 300 and World Supersport.
Early life
At the age of eight years old, Toseland began studying how to play the piano from a professional. As he grew, his passion for riding motocross bikes became his predominant interest.
His financial struggles did not stop him from pursuing his goals as he decided to engage himself in the junior trials as well as motocross.
Professional Career as a Racer
After the death of Wright, a father figure to James, he decided to move from racing off-road into road racing which proved to have aided in building up his career immensely. By 1995, Toseland had risen through the ranks to earn the honorable reward of Junior Road Race Champion.
As his career grew in the 125cc racing league, he had the opportunity of working with Supersport Honda, and with that; Toseland was able to win numerous races at the national level.
The car racer/musician has worked with a number of racing motorcycling teams including the GSE team, Fila Ducati team, Winston Ten Kate Racing Honda racing team, and others.
Personal life
In 2012, Toseland married the famous UK singer, Katie Melua. However, the couple later separated from each other after 8 years of marriage.
