About James Storm
James Storm started training as a wrestler in 1995 before making his professional debut two years later. After performing on many independent promotions, he joined the World Championship Wrestling in 2000 where he started gaining global recognition.
He left the promotion the following year and made his Total Nonstop Action Wrestling debut in 2002. Under the promotion, he won many titles including World Heavyweight Championship, and the World Tag Team Championship.
Aside from TNA, he has also competed under many promotions such as the National Wrestling Alliance, Pro Wrestling Noah, and WWE.
Personal Life
His original name is James Allen Cox. In 2011, he married Dani McEntee. The couple had their second child in 2017. Cox has a daughter called Makayla from his old relationship.
Education
He’s a product of Austin Peay State University.
Honors
In 2005, he, together with Chris Harris, were named the “Tag Team of the Year” by Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Trivia
His first trainer was Kelly Warren Wolfe, who’s known by the ring name Wolfie D.
Growing up, he played basketball.
