Though he inherited some amount of wealth from his family, James Packer has also established himself as one of the richest businessmen in the world. He has managed some of his family’s businesses like the Consolidated Media Holdings, and Publishing and Broadcasting Limited.
After the death of his father, Kerry Packer, in 2005, the little Packer turned his attention to casino and gambling business. He’s known to be a majority shareholder of one of Australia’s largest entertainment groups called Crown Resorts.

In 2010, he bought an 18% share in Network Ten, a commercial television in Australia. Two years later, he partnered with Brett Ratner to establish a production company called RatPac Entertainment.
Personal Life
He’s the son of renowned philanthropist, Roslyn Packer. His sister, Gretel Packer is also a famous businesswoman. His grandfather Sir Frank Packer was the founder of the Australian Consolidated Press.
He was engaged to Kate Fischer, an actress, but they parted ways in 1998. The following year, he married Jodhi Meares, but divorced after two years. Packer has three kids with former model Erica Baxter. The children are called Jackson Lloyd, Emmanuelle Sheelah, and Indigo.
