Jackson Browne is an American singer-songwriter and environmental activist whose famous songs include Running on Empty, Take It Easy, These Days and Doctor My Eyes. He has over the years sold several millions of albums worldwide. His successful musical career earned him inductions into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2004 and 2007 respectively.
Family Life
He was born to Beatrice and Clyde Browne. He grew up with three siblings: Roberta, Edward and Gracie. His first marriage was to Phyllis Major. The marriage lasted from 1975 to 1976. In 1981, he got married to his second wife Lynne Sweeney. The marriage ended in divorce in 1983. He had two children from these marriages.
Trivia
Few months after he married his first wife Phyllis, she committed suicide by overdosing on sleeping pills. Her death left him extremely devastated.
