Jack Hawkins was one of the most prominent British actors during the 1950s. He started his career at age ten as a stage performer. During this period, he worked with many top professionals like Basil Dean and Sybil Thorndike.
He appeared in many stage and screen productions before rising to fame with the 1952 film “Angels One Five” where he appeared as Group Captain 'Tiger' Small. He gained international recognition three years later after his Pharaoh Khufu role in the film “Land of the Pharaohs” received positive reviews.
Personal Life
He had a daughter with Jessica Tandy named Susan Hawkins. The couple went their separate ways in 1940. He later tied the knot with Doreen Lawrence and together they raised three kids named Nicholas, Caroline, and Andrew.
