Tata died of a kidney infection in 1993.
Awards and Honors
In 1948, the Indian Air Force bestowed on him the honorary rank of group captain. In 1979, he received the Tony Jannus Award. Additionally, in 1985, Tata won the Gold Air Medal of the Federation Aeronautique International.
